Reporter brief

DiAL Health pilot RCT testing adaptive versus traditional caloric restriction and time-restricted eating in 90 young adults.

Download chart PNG

DiAL Health is a 24-week randomized controlled pilot trial enrolling 90 healthy adults aged 22–45 into five groups: nonintervention control, traditional or adaptive time-restricted eating (8-hour window), and traditional or adaptive caloric restriction (25% energy reduction). Adaptive interventions used mobile health technology with real-time monitoring and personalized feedback; traditional interventions used in-person counseling. Primary outcomes were feasibility measures (adherence, retention, satisfaction); secondary outcomes included biological age (Klemera-Doubal) and metabolic syndrome score. No efficacy results have been reported yet.
