Phase IIa trial evaluates safety and feasibility of subretinal OpRegen stem cell delivery in geographic atrophy.
This Phase IIa open-label single-arm study assessed the surgical feasibility and safety of subretinal delivery of OpRegen (a stem cell therapy) in patients with geographic atrophy secondary to age-related macular degeneration. The trial also evaluated preliminary activity of the intervention. A substudy explored incorporation of advanced retinal imaging as an assessment tool.
