What it does not prove
- This pilot does not establish whether senolytics are safe or effective for treating Alzheimer's disease—it only addresses whether the drugs can reach the brain tissue in humans
- No efficacy data on cognitive outcomes or disease progression are reported; proof of brain penetration alone does not demonstrate clinical benefit
- As an early-stage proof-of-concept study, results cannot be generalized to broader populations or to other senolytic combinations
Extracted from supplied source material; model confidence is not a measured probability of correctness.

The purpose of this pilot study is to evaluate whether a combination of two drugs, dasatinib (D) and quercetin (Q) [D+Q], penetrate the brain using cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) in older adults with early Alzheimer's disease (AD).
This is also known as a 'proof of concept' study.
