What it does not prove
- This abstract describes the study protocol only and contains no efficacy results—it is unclear whether exercise improved any measured outcome.
- Sample size and participant demographics are not stated, limiting assessment of representativeness or statistical power.
- The study design and 6-month duration do not address longer-term safety or sustained benefits of exercise in this population.

Abstract or registry material supplied for assessment; source version 1. This is not a claim of full-text review.
The goal of this clinical trial is to learn whether different types of exercise performed during hemodialysis are safe, well tolerated, and beneficial for adults receiving maintenance hemodialysis.
Researchers will compare aerobic exercise, resistance exercise, and standard hemodialysis care to evaluate differences in tolerance and health outcomes.
Participants will: Be assigned to one of three groups: cycle ergometer exercise, elastic-band resistance exercise, or standard care.
Complete physical performance and body composition assessments at baseline and after 6 months.
