What this changes

The finding has not established an approved change to our evidence assessment.

What it does not prove

  • The study does not establish whether any observed gene expression changes translate to clinical health benefits or reduced disease risk in humans. The abstract does not report the actual findings, results, or effect sizes, making it impossible to assess what was actually discovered. Small sample size (20 per group) and short duration (6 months) limit generalisability to broader populations and long-term effects.
